Gharial (Gavialis gangeticus) from ZOO Prague, Czech republic.
Gharials are extremelly endangered species of crocodile: only 200 (180 females and 20 males) of them are still alive in the nature, Indian river Chambal!
This reptile is also very rarely kept in ZOOs: only five ZOO's in the world keep gharials. And ZOO Prague is the only one in Europe!
in Prague, you can see 7 very young gharials, 3 males and 4 females, in the pavillion ,,Chambal". This group means more than 30% of EVER in ZOO's kept gharials.
So you can see, that for Prague, it is very exclusive to show this wonderful reptile!

Oh my god!
I love this crocodile, I mean, look at that snout, it looks so delicate!These animals are very beaultiful!(At least that's what I think)
I don't understand why peolple don't pay mush attention to them, maybe they are unaware of the risk these animals have of becoming extinct?
