This weekend I spent in mountain and I visited one of my favourite ZOOs, Dvur Kralove nad Labem. I was a bit disappointed that they moved cheetahs (I did not see them at all), because this ZOO was very good for taking photos of them. They also moved fennec foxes from very photographer friendly enclosure which allowed the foxes to enjoy some sun light into a nocturnal indoor pavilion which is very dark and you can watch the foxes only from above, so I am afraid I lost this place for fennec photos

I also did not manage to take good photos of baby tigers and baby leopard although I tried a lot. It seems that my lens refuses to focuse, which scares me

I admit I could take some 70 000 photos with it, but... do not die, 55-250 IS!

I can not be without photography!

Bitten by a squirrel + funny ZOO Vienna - PHOTOSHi

I used my a bit higher (but still pathetically low) self-confidence to meet another dA member - this time it was *Shadow-and-Flame-86, lovely young scientist from Scottland, where she studies marine mammals! It was just perfect, she is very nice person, we had fun (at least me

). I am really glad we met and could chat a lot about her work, ZOOs and animals in general

What was the biggest attraction? Giant pandas? Wolves?
No! Those were squirrels

ZOO Vienna is totally full of wild but tame squirrels. And by full I mean that they are everywhere in a forest part of the ZOO! People feed them with nuts, so they come VERY close to you, they even run to humans, following them and begging

I was ready for this and I prepared a sack of wallnuts for me and *Shadow-and-Flame-86 to have some fun. It was amazing

), but my own will - I can not get into losing weight again, although I now have the perfect chance to continue! I would like to give you one important advice, so I hope it can be still useful

I see many people try to sell prints here. And they are often sad they have not sold anything yet.
But at the same time I see they do the same mistake. So:
HOW PEOPLE TRY TO SELL THEIR WORK AS A PRINT?
1. you took a photo (drew a picture). It is nice, so you want to post it as a deviation.
2. you edit it. Making it sharper, more colourful, adding contrast, CHANGING a size to some 850x600px, for example.
3. you post it as a deviation.
4. you look at your deviation and think "hm, it looks pretty cool! Maybe somebody can buy it. I will allow it as a print."
5. you click at "submit as a print" and in "print submission" option you just scroll down and click at "SUBMIT AS A PRINT".
6. now deviation in your gallery has that cool "buy this print" green button and you are excited about somebody buying it.
7. you are disappointed that nobody bought it.

But I have suggested many deviations for DD and I was disappointed when I got no reply and those deviations have not been accepted

I think some of those artists created absolutely incredible work and they definitely deserve more attention.
Today, I will show you some of the deviations I have suggested (or plan to suggest) for DD, but which have not been noticed or accepted by admins, which made me really sad and disappointed. DA has some rules for featuring a deviation as a DD, it says that suggested artist should not have a DD yet, it should not be very famous artist and it should include some info about a subject in the descriptions. Those artists followed the rules, but their art has not

Relief, kiriban and ZOO Brno - brand new PHOTOSHi people!

So my parents finally got back from Georgia. I have to say that I feel a great relief! Of course I knew local people are civilized that it is a nice country with fantastic nature, but it was still the Caucasus region and I definitely did not trust its roads and planes... My parents loved the trip and today and tomorrow we are looking at the photos they and their friends have taken. Nice to have them home

Huge commission mess? :cFirstly I want to state that I don't want to namedrop and by no means do I want this person to receive any abuse. I just want to know if this has ever happened to you guys?
Going back a few months now I opened up some commissions for moodDolls.
I only taken on a few at a time because I easily get overwhelmed when there's too much work to do on my shoulders.
I completed all of these commissions.
Completely out the blue a couple of weeks ago I got a message from PayPal saying that one of my commissioner's wanted their money refunding (£14GBP) because their card was used without their permission.
I reply back to PayPal with all the evidence of the payment, the completed work and even my journal stating that I don't do refunds.
Today I got another email from Paypal saying that I lost the case and that they're taking a further £28 off me for "chargeback settlement".
In total that's £42 I've had to pay when I really can't afford to be spending pennies, I'm just a regular broke art stu
