Sorry, funny thief + ZOO Brno - animal PHOTOS

Journal Entry: Fri Feb 3, 2012, 8:22 AM

Hi!

At first, I want to apologize - because of my final exams, I could not answer notes, so finally I got 15 of them! All of them should be already answered, sorry for late replies. My brain was not able to work few days before and then also after graduation exams :)  it should be ok now.

Also: sometime I might miss some of your comment's questions, sorry :( If you want to be 99,9% sure to get a reply from me, send me a note, please :D I always do my best to answer every single note. Very rarely, it can happen that I read some note minutes before leaving the flat, so I forget to answer it, but I think it is really VERY rare ;) so once again - I love to answer questions, but if you want to be 99,9% sure to gain an answer, ask via note, please :D thank you!

At second - wohoo :XD: after pretty long time, my photo was reposted here on dA. It was not a big deal - I stayed calm and just told the person to remove the shot. She did remove it - but funny thing came, she posted a big hysterical journal about how she was blamed although she was completely innocent :XD: haha, thieves can be really funny.
By the way, they really come in waves, do not they? :O_o: right now, there are so many of them... :/

At third - wanting to lose 7 kilos in 4 weeks, is probably a bad idea, right? :/ I need to lose a lot of weight to be able to apply for a good job, but I do not think I will be able to look good for job-interview. Oh, my bad. But today I was a good girl, I had fresh, healthy breakfast with vegetable, yoghurt with two spoons of müsli as a snack, little cup of soup and rise, chicken meat and loooooot of vegetable for lunch and brocoli for another snack. I exercised and I am going to ride a bike after I post this.
Aaaaaaand... I started to take some pills :XD: not any "eat this tablet and you will lose fat", of course. I do not believe such miracle solutions. But my uncle eats some tablets with PSYLLIUM (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psyllium) - you need to drink a lot if you eat it, the tablet then gots BIIIG in your stomach, it cleans it and you feel full :XD: let's see what happens, the only change I see is that I got hiccups

At fourth - I moved my "shoutbox" to my main page, because thanks to change of dA system, it is not near journals anymore, so nobody writes there. And I love shoutbox  and I suggested three more deviations for DD, you can check the suggestions if you sroll down here: woxys.deviantart.com/journal/  but to me, admins seem to have totally different taste, so I do not know know if my DD suggesting has any sense :(

Ooooh I love those shorebirds! What are they called? They look so FLUFFY, like puffballs on stilts (of course, baby killdeer look even more like puffballs on stilts)

I honestly don't think just riding a bike is going to help you lose any weight. You need to actually move around instead of riding around still. That's like only working your leg muscles instead.

it still helps a lot, I do not use the most... mhm, which English word fits that...
The bike has 8 leves of load (?), and I use just 4 and 5, so it still helps to lose fat

I definitely got slimmer and I would say a lot (Today I checked trousers I bought only some weeks ago and they are so big now!), I just did not lose many kilos :D but I definitely started to form figure, which is still a good step

I just need to work harder :D

I'm going to start doing push ups and sit ups and you should try. My friend, who is pretty built, says to do something like;
If you start on Monday then you're schedule would be like this;
Monday
Wednesday
Friday
Sunday
Tuesday
Thursday
Saturday
And so on and do like sets; First - 10 push ups, Second - 10 sit ups, and just go back and forth until you're tired and keep doing it like that.

unfortunately, I have very weak arms and I can not do a single push up :( and to make it worse, the only exercise my doctor does not allow me to do is sit up (because of leg injury) *facepalm* :(

But I do Crunch (100 a day for belly + something for lower part of belly), I do some exercise for legs (50 + 50 + 50 for each leg a day) and I use dumb-bell to lose fat on my arms (50 for every arm a day, as they are really weak :().

I usually exercise for two day, then I have one day off

Well, that's pretty good. I might do crunches but I think it takes a nice amount of effort b/c they're hard or something.

Sometimes it's difficult to lose weight quick, so it's best to do it gradually. That was my mistake haha now I'm just gonna take my time with it and not be upset if I don't lose anything/only lose a tiny bit every time i weigh myself :) Hope everything goes well for you :)

2000 calories a day will keep your weight as is. Cutting back to 1650 a day means you are losing by 350 a day. A pound of fat is 3500 calories so at 350 a day you lose one pound in 10 days. That is a good pace. Don't over push or you will end up unhealthy.

Take it slow, girl! As someone who is no stranger to weight loss, I will vouch that when it comes off slowly, it stays off. If you take it off quickly, it will come back quickly--with some extra kilos!

Love the photos here, especially the tiger!

7kgs is too much for just 1 month. 2 months would be OK. Another thing I thought of that you can do is eat slower, it will give time for the food to go down and then you will feel full quicker

7 kg in 4 weeks would be over the top and risky, even if you try it while having professional guidance. I'd recommend 2-3 kilos per month, that's a whole lot healthier, likelier (= less frustrating) and less prone to become a yo-yo effect. ;)

Plus, the pills...I can't say I approve of taking them, regardless how 'harmless' they seem or how often certain family members already took them. I'd simply not want to take a shortcut, yanno. I would want to feel I 'earned' the aching muscles, the sweat, the weight loss all on my own, not with the help of pills.

Of course you can do whatever you want and I notice you are getting desperate (though you shouldn't ), but still...dear, think about it. Changing eating behavior and exercising (doesn't have to be gym; I abhor gyms and prefer to exercise elsewhere) usually does the trick, you just have to be patient and not set yourself undoable goals. :pat:

You should also exercise your self-confidence. Lean on what you are good at. Tell yourself you are good at what you do. That really helps whenever you feel down cos of the weight-thing.

And just saying: the feeling full could also be achieved by other means than pills, e.g. by drinking lotsa tea/water.

Be very careful about the diet pills, otherwise, just keep doing what you are. Diets are for people who want to lose really HUGE amounts of weight, and after the diet is over, they need to keep healthy habits, not go back to the way they were. The hardest part of it is sticking to it, and I really don't things like Only raw food diets are that great because they're so hard to follow.
I suggest you drink plenty of water. Keep veggies around the house to snack on, rather than junk food.
Eat whole grains. They fill you up. Choose healthy "junk food" over unhealthy junk food, like baked chips, chips made from vegetables. Try and buy things with OUT high fructose corn syrup in it. I mean, it's not terrible, but it's best to just avoid it all together.
As for working out, do some Zumba, Its fun, and you can find videos on youtube. Run up and down stairs if you have any. You can also find other ways to incorporate exsecize into your life, like parking further than you normally would when you go to the mall. Take longer routes while walking. Even go to the mall, not to shop, but to walk. Use the stairs over elevators.
OH! I know this site, it is free and it helps. [link]
Good luck. I know you can do this!

OH! Chew your food longer. It also helps if you have a group of friends to do it with you. One thing I saw a person on youtube do(he has lost So much weight) is that he did it with a group of friends, they gave each other support. They would have weekly weigh ins. The would all weigh them selves after one week, of doing what ever they were doing to lose weight, and everyone would put in about 20 or so dollars into a money pool. Who ever lost the MOST weight, got the money.

I agree on many accounts. Sorry if I uttered similar advice, I hadn't read your comment before I posted my own.

The whole grain- and stairs/walks- and the chew longer-suggestions are ones I tested myself and they are all good value!!
I stopped eating white bread (made of wheat) altogether and so far, I never regretted this decision. When I have pasta, I also choose the whole grain version.
I have plenty of stairs around, and the house I live in doesn't have an elevator anyway. At my place of work I usually take the stairs for any walking distance unless I have to carry really heavy stuff. I plan to take an odometer to work so I actually know how many (kilo)meters I walk/run per evening. Should be many!
The chewig longer was also an advice my gran gave me, and while it may be sorta embarrassing to still eat while others finished long ago, it works like a charm!

start smokin' and get a tapeworm. :D Problem solved

No but seriously. I don't know what your doc or relatives say, but
moderate weightlifting spends incredible amounts of energy, makes you feel hungry, thus is the fastest way to slim down. Even though it would be cheaper to buy dumbbells for home, going to gym 2-3x a week will be best (exercise machines help a lot). I know this all works first hand

smoking is probably the ONLY bad habbit I do not have XD well, smoking and drugs :D
I have already thought about a tapeworm, stupid enough, right? *is ashamed*

thank you for tip, dear  but honestly, I will do everything, but not visiting the gym  not because of some public exercising, where everybody can see you, but because I would need to spend two hours in a tram when traveling to gym, so...

Losing 7 kilos in 4 weeks is a lofty goal, and would be pushing your body to a near starvation level at times. 1 or 1.5 kilos per week is a bit more doable, but I'll be cheering you on =D

Super photos, as always.

Lovely photos!

As for the concern about the weight thing, I heard two pounds (don't know how much that is in kilos) is a good average for people who are losing weight. There are always exceptions though, like when you first start out, you tend to lose a lot of weight quickly before it slows down and becomes smaller. For instance with me, I lost 10 lbs in a month once but that was more than likely due to a cyst that was removed from one of my ovary, which was messing with my hormones, including the ones with fat and such. But my brother, who's a Marine, said 10 lbs was really extreme and you better off with slowly losing 2 each week.

You should, like, start a little watch group where everyone keeps an eye out for your work. That way you don't have to do it all by yourself. :)

lol it'd be like Woxys Cops. XD
