Today I post photos of my favourite cats, snow leopards. All were taken in ZOO Jihlava with Canon Powershot S5 IS. I still have some sharp photos of nice moments, which I somehow "saved for better occassion". Ironically, I now do not feel like posting them, because although they are sharp and bright, they do not have SLR quality of shots taken with my SLR camera. There are also some very cute poses of baby snow leopard, so I might still post them later. I will consider it.

Lol, some little troll said that she is pretty sure she saw my last red fox photo (http://woxys.deviantart.com/#/d4f7kk9) in National Geographic magazine before - so I would like to thank her for such wonderful compliment! :laughing: the troll said she will have a look to find original of that "stolen" photo. I wish her good luck with searching and I am looking forward to the results! :laughing:
I also had some conflict with Czech chick who used my and my friend's photos for Czech blog. Normally I would not have a problem, because she did not pretend to be original author of those photos and she posted links to the originals. But this chick was so rude, saying that maybe it was my friend, who copied the photos, that I got angry. Dangerous animal!!! + ZOO Zlin - PHOTOSHi!
Many people say, that ZOO Zlin is the best ZOO in the Czech republic. I must agree, that its exhibits are absolutely fantastic - huge, 100% natural, interesting and very photographer-friendly. Also, you can enter many exhibits, being in the enclosure together with big parrots, emus, kangaroos, deers and lemurs. ZOO Zlin just does not keep species I like - they had no canines except of maned wolves and from big cats, they have only tigers and lions. So I have visited it only once, I think. Since this time, ZOO got Hyacinth macaws, red pandas and very rarely kept New Guinea Singing Dogs, so I think I might visit it again next year ;)
To speak about dangerous animal - ZOO built big modern pavilion, tropical hall Yucatan for South American species few years ago, housing also critically endangered Cuban crocodile. But they had to move them few days ago, because this species is extremely agressive. Crocodile were attacking the keepers. So ZOO will somehow rebuild the enclosure for a new
Some sad news about wolves (?) and PHOTOS of themHi!
I must say I am a bit nervous :( I visited ZOO Brno few times in last few weeks and I see that one of three oldest pack members is not fluffy yet :( ZOO Brno's oldest wolves are Atila (male) and Alex and Clair (females, sisters). Arctic wolves live only some 7 years in the wild, but can have much longer life in ZOOs. But while Atila still looks nice and fluffy, both females look somehow... "used" this year :( maybe it is because they gave birth to so many pups and they also used to have some fight (at least one serious two years ago). When you look at their faces, they start to remind of those photos of very very old wolves you can see here on dA :( and one of the females (I do not which one of them is Alex or Clair) starts to lose fur, her back and hips are moulted :(
Last time I was watching wolves, ZOO guide came, saying "Do you see that moulted wolf there? It is one of our breeding females. Poor one "už to má asi za sebou"." Saying "už to mít za se
Dignity of lions - PHOTOSHiiiiii!
Oh my, I am so tired, as I am not used to move that much XD so that everyday's excercising makes me sleep until 1 or 2 PM XD well, I should mention that I go to bed at 5 AM or so, but still, that's a LOT of sleeping!
Hurray, lions! This journal is dedicated to *Svenimal and =amrodel, who love lions :D
There is a family of Barbary lions Lily and Šimon and their cubs Mark and Éta and there are two adult females Gina and Buzeta, who are Šimon's sisters and who inhabit neighbouring exhibit :) I like Šimon, he is wonderful young male with amazing dark and huge mane, but he is also very gentle and patient father and protective partner :aww:
All photos were taken in ZOO Olomouc yesterday.

Spam... I noticed some official dA blog where they spoke about higher priority of fighting against spam. Honestly, there is probably something very wrong, because before dA posted it, I usually noticed only few - several spams a year. But since that post, I find spam on my dA account almost daily, sometimes even more spams a day! :( does it happen to you to? Those are messages like "As an anime fan, you can enjoy the best manga - LINK". It is annoying, I always report it :(

Some bad stuff, dA love and white wolves - PHOTOSHello!
I must say, that I see it more and more often here on dA. When I browse photos of animals, I almost everytime find photos of road kills or dead animals in general, often deatiled shots of their entrails and decayed bodies. I understand that some people can not take photos of alive animals in ZOOs or in the wild, but seriously... do they need to post dead animals? Moreover, usually bad quality snapshots of bowels? :( :( I think some people just forget that this is deviantART. AAAAAARRRRRRRTTTT. I do not think that remains of dead racoons are art. I find it disgusting. At least it should be posted to category "Horror", not wild animals :/ just saying my opinion.
Edit: people, I speak about REALLY disgusting photos of animals, which are torn into bloody pieces by cars. I do NOT speak about photos of dead animals in general, which can be used for anatomy references :)

Oh my. I hate dead lines for studying. I have some 10 days to study for my graduation exams and I am so stressed! And I have a bad habit to eat a lot when I am stressed so I commited few really bad eating sins in last hours. And I had no time to exercise. So I am fixing it right now! :XD:

Seriously, people? And wolves - PHOTOS!

Hi!

I have been always curious about the number of people, who look at my journals. And new style of "favable" journals could finally show it to me. I was interested - when I post a journal, I usually have some + 400 views on my profile page. So I expected to have some 400 views on my last journals, which would confirm, that 400 persons read it. But it got some 6 000 views! :O_o: it is MUCH more than my photos usually have! :O_o: I can not believe this number is correct... I was told that the journal appeared in some dA news section, but I am not sure if that is a reason, because I had no special pageviews, just regular + 400, which is typical for a day, when I post a journal. I think that new visitors, who would be attracted by a journal, would probably (at least small part of them) visit my page, so I would have bigger number of pageviews :O_o:

So this is a mystery, really...
As I said, I like my photo journals and I consider them my "trade mark", something which differs me from another deviants. But I can not believe that my journals can be really read by so many people! :O_o:

It must be some kind of error...




Today, I post older photos of wolves - I have many relatively good photos of wolves taken with my old Canon Powershot S5 IS camera, but as I can already produce more vivid and bright shots with my SLR, I do not feel like posting those old images. I decided to use a journal to share them. Because I bet many of you watch me for wolf photos, right? ;D

I don't view people's pages when I read their journals. So that would contribute to a -1 pageview difference.

I suppose maybe the view number difference may be because
1. people can view your journals in their message centers without actually being on your page??? (idk if this happens, but I know that I can't access your other tabs while viewing a journal in my message center unless I click on your ID link first)
2. the page-views thing on your profile only counts the people who visit your PROFILE tab of your dA account??? (once again, I have no idea if this is actually the case)
