Personal update and zoo news I.

Hi guys

At first some update:

it is simply typical – once you get to know you need to pay a lot for a doctor each month (12 x year), your cell phone dies XD so I had to buy other one – it makes me angry not just because of money loss and because I did nothing wrong with the device (it broke down just few weeks after guarantee ended), but also because I lost some photos I use my cell to take shots of zoo habitats and enclosures, so I can not present today’s news in a way I planned.

Also, thank you so much – thanks to the stuff you bought and thanks to some donations you sent me during last year, I can allow myself to enjoy some vacation. I decided to use money that way to have at least some joy I would like to visit Germany and Netherland to take some photos of dolphins and other animals. Thank you once more guys! I hope I will meet Lunchi and Svenimal there you enabled me to have some trip and I am grateful for it!

And the last thing: my dear fellows, just to make it clear, I do not suffer from depression. I do not have such symptoms, my problem is related to incredible fear from intimacy, instant fear of my own failure, instant feelings of guilt and very strong self-hate. I believe that my life might be much better if I can get a high quality help. Sad, hmmm… :/

ZOO NEWS!

In the past, I informed you about many changes and news in Czech zoos, but as I did not have time and good mood, I skipped this program in last year and half. So please find some info
This is only first part, other will follow!

I am so sorry I can not provide photos of the enclosures themselves


Zoo Prague

• After Boja’s death the wolf pack was restored!
• three Amur leopards were born, one of them black (not a good news, that shows that its blood is not very valid for preservation of the species), they also have four baby cheetahs
• zoo opened whole new pavilion for Chinese Giant Salamanders. Unfortunately, shooting (even without flash) is forbidden there, so no photos for you
• zoo reconstructed pavilion of big cats, it looks much better
• it opened brand new huuuge and modern pavilion and habitats for Asiatic elephants, antelopes and hippos!
• they started keeping of Blue electric gecko and Javan leopards
• they opened new outdoor vivariums for typical Czech lizards!

Zoo Ohrada / Hluboká nad Vltavou

• opened whole big new complex of enclosures!
• it includes decent habitats for: Amur tiger, corsac fox ( ) rupicapra, momotte, ground squirrels, brown bears, wolverines and vivariums for Eurasian species of lizards and amphibians.
• Also they feature their very rare animals: Chinese alligators!
• and zoo just opened brand new wolf enclosure, which is great because in the past, they lived in a “aquarium” like tiny yard (my photo shows a wolf in old enclosure).

It is my birthday next week so I hope to visit zoo Jihlava and take some photos of new enclosures there as this zoo changes incredibly during the last months!!!
