Bitten by a squirrel + funny ZOO Vienna - PHOTOSHi

I used my a bit higher (but still pathetically low) self-confidence to meet another dA member - this time it was *Shadow-and-Flame-86, lovely young scientist from Scottland, where she studies marine mammals! It was just perfect, she is very nice person, we had fun (at least me

). I am really glad we met and could chat a lot about her work, ZOOs and animals in general

What was the biggest attraction? Giant pandas? Wolves?
No! Those were squirrels

ZOO Vienna is totally full of wild but tame squirrels. And by full I mean that they are everywhere in a forest part of the ZOO! People feed them with nuts, so they come VERY close to you, they even run to humans, following them and begging

I was ready for this and I prepared a sack of wallnuts for me and *Shadow-and-Flame-86 to have some fun. It was amazing

BABY LIONS - photos! But I am ill now :(Hi people!
Yesterday I went to ZOO Olomouc with my great friend =amrodel - she has never been to this ZOO and because it is one of my the most favorite animal facilities, I really wanted to show her! And because =amrodel is a lion lover and because baby lions were born in Olomouc, we could not have a better opportunity to meet! It is always a pleasure to see :devamrodel and we really had fun. It was fantastic to watch whole lion family - father Šimon was so desperate, because his babies wanted to play with his tail! He really seemed very unhappy about it. But we had fun.

I feel like total idiot, I somehow can not write it. Why?!

It is my the last attempt to complete it, if I do not finish it properly, I totally lose my chance to get my second Master degree. Which would be pretty embarassing, because not only I already have all the credits I need, I even passed the graduation exams! After so much work, it would be stupid to end without the title just because of inability to write stupid 80 pages.
Also, I wish USA a lucky hand when it comes to voting! It might be interesting, I will definitely watch US elections

interesting material for a student of political science. I do not mind to share my opinion - I would vote for Obama. But I do not feel like advocating my opinion, I have no problem with those whose attitude is different

Dangerous animal!!! + ZOO Zlin - PHOTOSHi!
Many people say, that ZOO Zlin is the best ZOO in the Czech republic. I must agree, that its exhibits are absolutely fantastic - huge, 100% natural, interesting and very photographer-friendly. Also, you can enter many exhibits, being in the enclosure together with big parrots, emus, kangaroos, deers and lemurs. ZOO Zlin just does not keep species I like - they had no canines except of maned wolves and from big cats, they have only tigers and lions. So I have visited it only once, I think. Since this time, ZOO got Hyacinth macaws, red pandas and very rarely kept New Guinea Singing Dogs, so I think I might visit it again next year

To speak about dangerous animal - ZOO built big modern pavilion, tropical hall Yucatan for South American species few years ago, housing also critically endangered Cuban crocodile. But they had to move them few days ago, because this species is extremely agressive. Crocodile were attacking the keepers. So ZOO will somehow rebuild the enclosure for a new

At second, I am finally really ill.
I wanted to go to work even with fever, but during night, I woke up with strong chill (I do not know the right word in English, it seems you also use word ,,fever" for it), I simply felt very cold and weak, my hands were trembling and my teeth chattering. I went to the bathroom, but then, out of sudden, I felt extremely weak, almost vomiting, feeling dizzy. It scared me, I almost could not get back to sofa, my legs were totally insecure. I just lied there, calling mum - fortunately she woke up and brought me some pills. It was quite sure I could not go to work, so I stayed in bed. Not so good news + animals from ZOO Brno - PHOTOSHi!
I am still very tired. I am really not used to waking up early, doing something for all 8 hours and then getting home late. I usually fall asleep very soon. I usualy wake up between 12 PM - 4 AM and I am able to just post one photo for dA. Or I wake up at 5 AM, which prevents me from doing anything - it is too late to exercise or to write something, but it is too soon to wake up. So I usually try to sleep. The worst thing is waking up at 6 AM - it is VERY early, but at the same time, it is not enough to fall asleep again. So as a result, it makes me very tired in the evening and this whole circle goes on and on.
I did not even have time to write any journal...
Maybe nobody noticed

Of course I did not ,,defend" my final thesis *facepalm* it is all my fault. I need to write it once again, I have the very last attempt to rewrite it *sad face*
I need to get used to my new regime, so I can exercise again.

it means I need to lose 20 another killos to have NORMAL weight. Well, I am on a good way, I just need to try harder. 12 kilos are nice, but not nice enough if you consider the time. I am still satisfied, because I think I mostly lost fat and not muscles, which is great

Our president died... + white lions & co. - PHHello.
Many people not only in the Czech republic are sad, because Václav Havel died today.
Václav Havel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V%C3%A1clav_Havel) was the first president of the Czech republic and nowadays, he was probably the most respected Czech in the world. He was inspiration for many people, he influenced lot of lives. He was not only a politician, but also a writer, philosopher, human right activist and political prisoner. As every strong person with constant opinions, he also had his opponents. To be honest, I was one of them. Although I did not share most of his opinions, although I did not find many his actions right and although he was not a moral example for me, I still respect him and I regret his death. I will never forget, that he fought against totalitarian communist regime in my country and I will be always grateful, that also thanks to him, we are now free modern democratic country with strong relationship with rest of democratic world.
