Love of wolves (mating season) - PHOTOSHello :)
First of all, kiriban (766 666) is VERY close!
At second, Brno's females, Alex and Clair, are in heat now. I went to the ZOO to take some photos - because of mating season, wolves were very excited and active. I had a great chance to watch their fantastic and natural behavior, which included gentle touches, aggresivity (not between alphas and beta, but younger wolves were somehow excited) and mating itself. It was just incredible to observe so intimate moments of the lives of wolves. Thanks to winter, I was totally alone with them - only me and wolves. I would like to share some shots I took - sorry for lower quality, the weather was cloudy and as you can imagine, wolves were moving a lot. Although I took some photos of mating itself, I do not want to post such shots. Not to offend some of my watchers (mating and also eating are absolutely natural for animals ;)) but to somehow respect privacy of the wolves :)

Yay, I have only three last driving lessons before the final exam! :noes:
And I need to start writing my final thesis again! I bet you hate this line at least as much as me :XD:
I also made a totally delicious dessert with two different cremes, it took me at least 5 hours to finish it - but do not worry, one can eat only very small portion every day and I will give some pieces to my grandfather, friend and sister's boyfriend :lol:
And I need to ride a bike again - that Alpen trip interrupted my sporting again and I need to get used to it again :D
I at least had some nice hour of fast walking on Monday :D

My first visit in ZOO Brno in 2012 brought you those photos ;)
*Losing weight news*
Oh my. I hate dead lines for studying. I have some 10 days to study for my graduation exams and I am so stressed! And I have a bad habit to eat a lot when I am stressed so I commited few really bad eating sins in last hours. And I had no time to exercise. So I am fixing it right now! :XD:
Some sad news about wolves (?) and PHOTOS of themHi!
I must say I am a bit nervous :( I visited ZOO Brno few times in last few weeks and I see that one of three oldest pack members is not fluffy yet :( ZOO Brno's oldest wolves are Atila (male) and Alex and Clair (females, sisters). Arctic wolves live only some 7 years in the wild, but can have much longer life in ZOOs. But while Atila still looks nice and fluffy, both females look somehow... "used" this year :( maybe it is because they gave birth to so many pups and they also used to have some fight (at least one serious two years ago). When you look at their faces, they start to remind of those photos of very very old wolves you can see here on dA :( and one of the females (I do not which one of them is Alex or Clair) starts to lose fur, her back and hips are moulted :(
Last time I was watching wolves, ZOO guide came, saying "Do you see that moulted wolf there? It is one of our breeding females. Poor one "už to má asi za sebou"." Saying "už to mít za se

Animals - PHOTOS + gifts for my friends (photos)Hi!
Today I show you some photos of the animals, but I want to share also photos of Christmas gifts I made for my friends. Of course I gave them also another presents, but this was meant as a little joke. I made gingerbread figures with colorful icing for *Allerlei (who loves squirrels), for ~Kajula (who loves polar bears) and for ~BlueFox-cz (his name says all). Red fox symbolises me :) and finally, as *Allerlei loves my cookies, I made a special portion for her - cookies with chocolate and nuts in a form of a squirrel ;)
GIFTS
I got a fennec, lol + fresh animal PHOTOSHi! :D
after incredibly long time, I met with my best friend *Allerlei today - we visited ZOO Prague together :aww: we also gave each other Christmas presents - I was given very cute plushie fennec fox! :la: his name is Alešek and he is very cute. I will sleep with him, cuddling with his ears :giggle: I will take a photo of him later :D I gave Allerlei some little presents together with dA mug which i designed specially for her :heart: so nobody else on this world can has the same mug :aww:
We had fun, it was amazing to meet again :heart:
It made me happy :D
Only one bad thing: usually I wish we could be together for many many hours, but I was so freezing I really wanted to be back in the bus this time :( the temperature was not that low at all, but somehow, together with weather, it made me freeze. Nah.
But I am still very happy I saw my best friend :aww:

Today I post photos of my favourite cats, snow leopards. All were taken in ZOO Jihlava with Canon Powershot S5 IS. I still have some sharp photos of nice moments, which I somehow "saved for better occassion". Ironically, I now do not feel like posting them, because although they are sharp and bright, they do not have SLR quality of shots taken with my SLR camera. There are also some very cute poses of baby snow leopard, so I might still post them later. I will consider it.
Nah, bad mood here.

I have been always curious about the number of people, who look at my journals. And new style of "favable" journals could finally show it to me. I was interested - when I post a journal, I usually have some + 400 views on my profile page. So I expected to have some 400 views on my last journals, which would confirm, that 400 persons read it. But it got some 6 000 views! :O_o: it is MUCH more than my photos usually have! :O_o: I can not believe this number is correct... I was told that the journal appeared in some dA news section, but I am not sure if that is a reason, because I had no special pageviews, just regular + 400, which is typical for a day, when I post a journal. I think that new visitors, who would be attracted by a journal, would probably (at least small part of them) visit my page, so I would have bigger number of pageviews :O_o:
So this is a mystery, really...
As I said, I like my photo journals and I consider them my "trade mark", something which differs me from anot
Art-thieves and animals - PHOTOSHello!
I went to the city today to buy something - I saw that there were many black flags and also many candles for our president. It was nice... I am surprised that rather cynical Czechs are able to honour Václav Havel :nod: it was nice to see it! :heart:
Hm... and dA should at least inform us about the current problems. I would like to know what is happening :/

I am quite a good girl - I really exercise and ride a "bike" almost every day. Only after two or three days of activity, I allow myself to have one day off :nod: so I am going to watch a movie and move again. Have a nice day!
Dignity of lions - PHOTOSHiiiiii!
Oh my, I am so tired, as I am not used to move that much XD so that everyday's excercising makes me sleep until 1 or 2 PM XD well, I should mention that I go to bed at 5 AM or so, but still, that's a LOT of sleeping!
Hurray, lions! This journal is dedicated to *Svenimal and =amrodel, who love lions :D
There is a family of Barbary lions Lily and Šimon and their cubs Mark and Éta and there are two adult females Gina and Buzeta, who are Šimon's sisters and who inhabit neighbouring exhibit :) I like Šimon, he is wonderful young male with amazing dark and huge mane, but he is also very gentle and patient father and protective partner :aww:
All photos were taken in ZOO Olomouc yesterday.

Baby wolves were born!!!

Hi!



This is one year old journal, but I have great news - I just read that in local ZOO, baby arctic wolves were born again! :D
They still stay in a burrow, but as soon as they get older and leave the den, I will do my best to bring you some photos :D

Photos in this journal were taken in 2011 ;)





Here come the first photos of baby arctic wolves, who were born in ZOO Brno this year :aww:
The quality is very bad, they were some 20-30 metres from me, but I think you can still enjoy their cuteness :D
