Art-thief + small cats - PHOTOS!

Journal Entry: Mon Dec 3, 2012, 2:51 PM

Hi people!

Yup, after long time, there is another stealing guy in this site.
He posts many famous google photos, clearly claiming them as his own. His last submission was a red fox, which is in fact a very famous National Geographic photo, which is posted by thieves very often. This guy says it was him who took the photo and he was only 30 cm far from this animal. What a liar.

This guy does NOT steal my photos, he steals photos of other authors.

So please, report him. I think his gallery is totally crowded with stolen shots, so if you know the originals, report him too, please.
And please, just report, no rude words for him. Thanks!
I hate those liars so much, especially when they think that blocking you would save their butt.

I'm guessing Jungle cat. :) [link] They've also been crossed with domestic cats to create the "Chaussie" [link]

Reported. I hope he learns a hard lesson from this.

By the way, it might be more efficient to report the user rather than just one artwork.
How to report user: Contact Helpdesk > Abuse Report > Enter relevant information accordingly

I wonder how many art thieves are suffering from an illness. I ran across a kid who's IP address was the public library who claimed to be a major reactor accident expert. In truth, he was just a poor kid who's mind wasn't whole.

Major reactor was probably his brain...it had an accident and thus an expert at it now...:la:

Ya the kid I felt with was clearly a low level mental patient with access to the net. I try to keep a perspective between people who are evil and those who need grace because they fall into the group "but for the grace of god go I"

Internet is such a big place...and somehow I find that a lot more terrible people are appearing out of nowhere in this wonderful place I call Internet nowadays! Take Trolls for example, why won't they turn to stones in bright sunlight any more?!?!!? And then there are the strange mental patients you mentioned...and the formidable art thieves such as this one! What's happening to my favourite place?! :iconimsosadplz:

Yea, I'm not too thrilled with a certain stalker right now myself, but such is an open forum. It like riding public transit, you never know who's gonna get on the bus at the next stop.

thanks for bringing him to our attention, i've reported the deviation as usual! art theives annoy me so much, but it also makes me nervous about using dA, because you see someone whose done amazing work or taken a great photo or something, and my first thought is 'oh no, what if they stole it!' so i start scanning the comments to see what people have said. :S bad habit of mine!

amazing photos of yours, as always!

A long while back I've reported someone for stealing a work and I got this message back:

"Your Permission Issues Violation Report on ______ was reviewed by a member of the staff and action was taken, marking the report as Need Information.

Additionally, the following comment was provided:
Thank you for attempting to bring this deviation to the attention of the staff.

We would prefer it if the original owner of the work contacted us directly by filing a copyright infringement notice by email at violations@deviantart.com"

Perhaps I reported in the wrong section? I don't know if I should report and if I do, am I doing it right.

I really don't like those people. Stealing work and claiming that the photographed/made it makes me angry.

You did it right, it just takes A LOT for DA to take down a google image thats uploaded to DA. They can get sued for taking down an image that they aren't 100% sure who the owner is. To them it's, "You never know if they came to DA to post work."

So. D: Google thieves don't always get stopped right away.
But still good to report. =3 If enough reports are given, I think action is taken w/o original owner permission.

He fooled me.
I ended up adding a bat photo that he posted to my favorites.
It has since been removed >_<.

I just have to comment, 'cause I'm so angry I'm gonna explode. I don't understand this. Why steal somebody's work?! And why is he creating some bull***t story how they were taken?! Is that person trying to create his life or what? I'm very sorry, but I'm so mad. I don't get it.

You really want to mess with that thief, report the theft to National Geographic. REALLY dumb stealing from an entity that big.

National Geographic? National Geographic?! How could anyone think they could get away with plagiarising from one of the world's top academic magazines/publishing organisations?

...And now for something completely different: the cat at the bottom of your blog is my favourite out of the bunch.

furaffinity.net - it's a furry website. Though I think that might be obvious. LOL But its layout is similar to a very old version of DA. Without the pea green.
