Story of the title: Satu is quite unlucky when it comes to males. Her first partner was much older Dick - but when he wanted to mate with her, they had a conflict (that's official version of the incident) and Dick broke his leg, dying soon after surgery. His brother Kampar came to replace him, but as he was quite old, he died soon. ZOO decided to connect Satu with experienced male Dustin, who stayed in ZOO Brno only few weeks before he retured to his home ZOO in Jihlava. Again, no babies came. So ZOO Brno got new tiger - this time young wonderful Dua. But Dua appeared to be too submissive - he did not mate with strong emancipated Satu, although she wanted to. So soon, Dua should leave the ZOO and new male from ZOO Lisboa will come. I hope Satu will become a mommy this time...

Name: Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae)
Location: Sumatra
Size: 1,8 m long body + 0,8 m tail, 0,9 m high weight: 180 kg
Diet: deers, boars, elks, birds, tapirs
Conservation status: Critically Endangered
Interesting facts: Sumatran tigers do not live in groups. Every tiger has its own territory and cats meet only to mate. Only female then take care of 2-4 kittens. Father does not look after his babies. Other males can kill the cubs, so mother must be very careful and she looks for her cubs until they are 2 years old | Sumatran tiger is the smallestt of all tiger subspecies | there are only some 400 - 600 Sumatran tigers living in the wild | Sumatran tigers swim very well and fast | they are threatened by hunters who kill them for their amazing wonderful fur
