INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:Name: Cougar (Puma concolor)
Location: America: both tropics and temperateness. Deserts, rainforests, forests, mountains.
Size: up to 240 cm (including a tail)
weight: up to 100 Kg
Diet: the diet varies from insects to large pray as deers. It includes birds, capybaras and so.
Conservation status: Least concern.
Interesting facts: although they are large, cougars are in fact SMALL cats, not big cats! They are not able to roar
| cougars are good swimmers and tree climbers
| mother gives birth to 3-4 cubs. Babies have blue eyes
| in captivity, cougars can live up to 20 years
| COUGARS ARE NEVER BLACK. Huge black cats are always black jaguars or black leopards – NEVER cougars. There is no confirmed spotting of black cougars
| the closest relative of a cougar is a jaguarundi.
