INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:

Name: Jaguar (Panthera onca)
Location: South and Central America
Size: 180 cm long body weight: 120 Kg
Diet: capybaras, peccaries, fish, crocodiles, turtles, sloths, monkeys, tapirs, deers, snakes, but also domesticated cattle and horses...
Conservation status: Near Threatened
Interesting facts: Jaguar is the biggest feline of America| jaguars have very huge and powerful jaws | there are two colour variations of jaguars – yellow and black, which is called “melanism form“. The black colour is caused by recessive allele and is rerar than normal yellow colouring | the mother gives birth to 2-4 cubs and she does not tolerate the presence of a male, who is a threath to baby kittens | jaguars live up to 12-15 years | jaguars swim perfectly

Oh, the black one is well again? I thought it died years ago. When I was visiting the zoo, she was terribly ill. Glad to see her again this year.

Good job! I tried a few times to get good photos of the two. It's really difficult because either they're hiding or they're moving very close to the glass barrier. (y___y)

This is an amazing picture. You captured both colors of the jaguar and the differences between the colors and the genders are immediately and strikingly noticeable. Love

Black jaguars are my sorority's mascot, so it's always lovely to see one in photos. They're both so gorgeous, though, and they have lovely names. Amazing job on the photo, woxys.

With the contrast and very coincidentally correct placement of the orange/yellow one, the black one looks much more intense, like he is defending him. LOVE LOVE LOVE it. <3
