you can probably imagine my joy: I visited ZOO Brno today and I have found two arctic wolves in the main exhibit! they look healthy and they were very active, although you can easily guess they had (at least one has still visible signs of the previous illness) some problems. But they look SO much better! Also, the exhibit has been renovated, there is new grass and, what is the best, the ZOO FINALLY reconstructed the lake, which was destroyed by wolves years ago and since then it was just an empty hole full of awfully-smelling mud. Now it is a wondeful pond again and wolves use it for drinking which is, indeed, very attractive for us photographers. I also saw two wolves behind the scenes (locked in the paddocks near the main exhibit) - both had very short, but healthy looking fur! so I guess the ZOO is successful and the wolves are recovering. It makes me very happy! And I hope soon we will see whole the pack back in the exhibit
hmm, now I have an itching to actually go there for a little testing out of my new compact, oh so much to do and so little time...
I had to think of you when I visited Zoo Nuernberg last saturday I saw the amazing Harpy eagle which you mentioned if I remember right
So good to know that arctic wolves will be there again
This is a great shot I wanna love him
