Description
Clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa, Levhart oblackovy) from ZOO Prague, Czech republic
Story of the title: I must say that to me, clouded leopards do not seem as cats at all - they remind me of rats or weasels. But they are wonderful, of course!

INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:
Name: Clouded leopard (Neofelis nebulosa)
Location: Southeast Asia
Size: 60-100 cm long body, 60-90 cm long tail weight: 16-23 Kg
Diet: monkeys, boars, small species of deers, porcupine, birds
Conservation status: Vulnerable
Interesting facts: | Clouded leopards have proportionately the longest canine teeth (2 in or 5 cm) among felines | after 90 days of pregnancy, mother gives birth to 1-5 baby kittens, who are born with grey coats. Father does not take care of them | Leopards are called “clouded“ because of unique marking on their back. Unfortunately, leopards are hunted because of their fur | it is very difficult to breed clouded leopards, as they are very conflictful, so it is difficult to find a good pair of cats | Clouded leopards inhabit jungles | although smaller in size, clouded leopards are big cats | clouded leopards live in forests and are mostly nocturnal | they are threatened by hunting and by damage of their natural environment.
