Description
Arctic wolves (Canis lupus arctos, vlk arkticky) from ZOO Brno, Czech republic
Story of the title: I longed to take a photo of arctic wolves on the background of calourful Autumn leaves and I was just so happy when all three adults gathered together! The problem is, that my camera was not able to focuse on them this camera does it all the time - when two wolves stand together and I want to take a photo of whole bodies of them all, the camera refuses to take them - only background is sharp, while the wolves are totally blurred. That day, I finally managed to take only one photo of relatively sharp wolves (Atila, Alex and Clair), but I CROPPED it! I am the worst photographer ever XD
I still post it - for fun and for colourful background
I also sell products to earn money for a new camera - if you click on the "PRINT", you can buy a photo of a wolf, which was taken the same day, but its quality is much better black mug costs only 7.80 USD!
Thank you for your comments and faves
____________
INFO ABOUT THE ANIMAL:
Name: Arctic Wolf (Canis lupus arctos)
Location: Canadian Arctic and the northern parts of Greenland
Size: 1.8 m long, 79 cm high weight: 75 kg
Diet: Caribou, musk oxen, Arctic Hares, seals, ptarmigan, lemmings. Arctic wolves eat all their prey, also its bones and fur
Conservation status: common. They still live in the whole of its original range, because local conditions are too extreme for humans.
Interesting facts: mother gives birth to some 2-3 pups in May. Pups are born almost black – as they get older, colour of their fur turns to white. Adults are completely white, even in summer | arctic wolves live in the pack of some 7-10 members. Only alpha male and alpha female mate | arctic wolves have shorter ears and nose than other wolves species. They also have thicker fur, shorter legs | they do not run too fast, their advantage is persistence
