Name: Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis) Location: forests of Eastern Asia Size: 1.9 m long body + 95 cm lond tail, 80 cm high weight: 60 kg Diet: roe and sika deer, hares Conservation status: Critically Endangered - facing an extremely high risk of extinction in the wild Interesting facts: there are ONLY some 30 (THIRTY!!!) Amur leopards in the wild! | Amur leopard is the biggest from all leopard subspecies | Amur leopards have blue eyes | only female takes care of the cubs | in the wild, leopards live for 10-15 years, but they can live 20 years in captivity ZOO: There are only 17 pureblooded Amur leopards in the World’s ZOOs – and 5 of them live in ZOO Prague in the Czech republic. 4 Czech ZOOs keep Amur leopards (Prague, Usti, Olomouc and Decin)
