Name: Blue-winged Kookaburra (Dacelo leachii)
Location: Northern Australia, New Guinea
Size: 40 – 46 cm weight: 0,33 Kg
Diet: small vertebratea (frogs, reptiles) and invertebrated
Conservation status: Least Concern
Interesting facts: It lives in carrs, or in mixed forests near freahwater streams. Ot prefers swamps and wet areas in general | it inhabits holes in the trees, mostly adausonia | female lays 1-4 white eggs | female has red feathers on its tail, while feathers of the male have blue color |
