Gharial (Gavialis gangeticus, gavial indicky) from ZOO Prague, Czech republic.

NEWEST PHOTO ----> BABY JAGUAR! :D



Gharials are extremelly endangered species of crocodile: only 200 (180 females and 20 males) of them are still alive in the nature, Indian river Chambal!
This reptile is also very rarely kept in ZOOs: in Prague, you can see 6 very young gharials in the pavillion ,,Chambal". This group means more than 30% of EVER in ZOO's kept gharials.

So you can see, that for Prague, it is very exclusive to show this wonderful reptile!
